You get to have it free here! :p At least it doesn't make noise, like that reindeer one did a few Christmas ago - drove a few people nuts looking for the source of the jingling bells before realising they were part of an ad on PF1 :D |

| 339791 | 2005-03-31 03:22:00 | I am happy to have ads as it supports this great free forum without ads it would be hard to maintain (I can always block them anyway www.pressf1.co.nz ) |

Which kind of defeats the purpose don't it, will marketing/ad people never learn that the net is not a TV or a paper medium. | Murray P (44) | ||
| 339795 | 2005-03-31 04:53:00 | will marketing/ad people never learn that the net is not a TV or a paper medium. That's the thing though. 99.97% of users look at pop-up/floating ads and go "damn, that's annoying" and react pretty much like Jack has. But when an advertising/marketing person sees the same ad they go "Wow that's cool. We should do some of those ..." |

Of course I have not seen them since on the times I have returned to my computer. I hope they won't appear frequently. Now, I did not mind Santa on his sleigh with the bells as he stayed at the top of the screen. FoxyMX, I assume they appear in IE, but will check when they next appear. I am sure you will have seen them by now. My five year old liked the fish! JJJJJ, I agree with you - they put me off buying HP products. Oxie |

You could put a whole strip down the right-hand side of this board. Fits right under the ad for the PCW mag. Especially now that pressf1 is now so popular with great warez fans. |
