| 340842 | 2005-04-02 23:02:00 | If I put CRC or WD40 etc into them, is there a risk of fire? Not sure if they're flammable or not in that sort of proximity to a prolonged high heat source. (Yeah I know the lubricant is actually flammable, but will it decrease after a day or so?) Ta. |

Next step, go out for the weekend, or use the nuke/wok/whatever you have to cook with instead, and keep a window open cause CRC/WD40 stinks! :D |

| 340846 | 2005-04-03 02:21:00 | CRC (5-56) and WD40 are often referred to as "pressurised kerosine". They are both definitely flammable. Kerosine gives a lovely taste to food. I suppose the ideal lubricant for this would be graphite powder. That burns, but you have to get it very hot. ;) |
