343125 2005-04-09 04:32:00 I have a Sony MZ-R70 "walkman digital recording" MD but no manual. I have sussed out most things, including labelling tracks. I can record one track at a time, OK. If I use the MIC input from analogue CD, it makes one track out of everything it gets. Quick work with the stop/Rec buttons works but gets tedious.

But I suspect the "Synchro rec" switch on the back is supposed to make separate tracks if a bunch of tracks are loaded trhough the optical digital line input.

I tried today, using the MiniDisc software which came with my Creative Extigy (clever box). I can make up a play list, then it writes a minidisc. All in one track. :(

Am I wasting my time? Do I have to copy one track at a time. Should a digital input pass the track title through too?

343129 2005-04-09 05:49:00 Just did a brief bit of googling and couldn't find all that much that seemed very helpful. I can only assume that would switch it to synchro record, hit the record button, then press play on the other device.

Did a little bit more googling and found some more helpful results.

which had links to

Which essentially said to do what I guessed.
