341926 2005-04-05 10:56:00 I found this yesterday, and it actually works surprisingly well.

I was curious as to whether it was possible to speed up the process of getting a free 250mb account with Hotmail (ie. upgrade my current one to 250mb).

And before anyone asks - yes, I have a Gmail account, yes I have a yahoo account, but it's a pain getting everyone I know to update their contacts.

-----------------------------------
Login to your account
Go to Options
Click Personal
Click My Profile
Change Country to United States
Wait for browser to Load US Settings
Change state to Florida and Zip Code to 33332
Click Update
Click Continue

Go to Language and Make sure it is English. Paste this link in Same Browser :

Wait until the screen says "Your Hotmail account is closed and ready to be deleted."
Click Close Account.

Go Back to Login and relogin to ur Account
Just reactivate ur account.
No email will be deleted from ur account and now ur account size limit increase to 25MB.

--------------------------
Apparently after 30 days, you will get 250mb space - all free. Give it a shot.

341931 2005-04-05 20:29:00 Ive had two colleagues here who've done it.

One had a Hotmail for Kids account or something (I dont know why, he's 22) and its asking him for his credit card now to prove its him :P

It does work but I'd rather stick to Orcon/Gmail
