I havent got SP2 i orded the cds (1 from microsoft 1 from pcworld) and neverinstalled it becaus if all the bad storyes i herd might install it if i reformat |

We all know that MS is like a bucket with a hole in it, you have to continually top it up "MS Fixes". Surely nobody could complain if their computer dies of "Nasty Bugs" from the outside world. If your child was sick would you take it to the Doctor? Did your child have all the "Jabs" when it was a baby? Probably it did, so why not give yuor computer it's appropriate jabs. Just an observation, not aimed at anyone. PJ |

| 341897 | 2005-04-05 09:13:00 | SP2 is OK . As long as u dont have spyware or have a Prescott CPU (without the patch) . Before u install SP2 . Spyware will make your system reboot I would say over 1/2 of the users here wouldnt have all the patches for XP, either, not including SP1 or 2 . Thats why they get worms, Blaster, or this Byteverify trojan . Simply coz they were too lazy to update XP at all . And then they suffer and complain later . |

| 341900 | 2005-04-05 10:55:00 | A friend of mine uninstalled SP2 since it slowed his system down too much. I never bothered: I don't use IE and have Zone Alarm, etc., so did not want to risk the glitches for a useless patch. |
