So, you HAVE to be careful what program you use, and what entries you tell it to delete. or it can make a system / program unusable. And you'll end up either reinstalling the program, or windows again. if you delete the wrong things (if you have no idea what it does / or what you're doing / deleting in the registry). |

| 648579 | 2008-03-11 22:54:00 | Yup - very true . . . . . I'd always been gully about letting an app run riot through my registry, but like I said, having used Reg . Mech for a few years, on a few dozen PC's at least, I've never had any issues whatsoever, and it always improves performance (only to a small extent in some cases) . Maybe I'm just lucky! :p I suspect that if you used it on an already-corrupt installation of Windows, you'd make things worse very quickly, so I always make sure that the OS is sound before I start . |
