342833 2005-04-09 04:38:00 The basics of undertaking any plan are:
1. Look at the usage plans and prices being offered
2. Decide which is the most suitable or afforable for your requirements
3. Enter into the contract you select
4. Abide by the contract and don't complain if you are the one breaking it!!

By the way, 32k would be the maximum speed most people would get from a 56K modem on dialup.

what a rushish comment about dialup ! Don't fool people around. I used some other dialups before. They all can reach 56k-64k.

342835 2005-04-09 07:00:00 Yes. Woosh tech team must be very outdate. They are still using 90s dialup definition in today. Wakeup ! 32kb/sec is only half of dialup speed today. wayne_no1 (7838)
342836 2005-04-09 07:30:00 56K modems these days get more than 56K? Jester (13)

I don't see your comment any better than his. In fact, I'd say yours is even more rubbishy. 56k modem! How the heck do you get 64kps? Besides, for most people, 32 is the most they will get. You're just lucky to get a better phone line.

342838 2005-04-09 10:08:00 Sorry, but you're wrong techie. My friends out in oxford get at least 40k on their Dial-Up line (Using an External serial Modem yes, but even a cheapo modem does as well), so why the heck would anyone in an urban area get less than 32k? Edward (31)

Old copper phone lines. I was on barely any more than 36kbps when I was on dial-up. This is Auckland...

Edit: I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has 64kbps on dial-up

Of course you won't.
It is not physically possible to even get 56k on dialup.
