| 346268 | 2005-04-18 02:15:00 | Hi everyone, I don't know if I'm allowed to do this, so if not, could a mod please delete the post. I am urgently seeking a builder to complete a small building alteration job (suggested by our architect to cost around the $30000 mark) in Hastings. So far, out of the 10 or so builders I have approaced, only two have been willing to even provide a quote. If you are able to help, or can point me to someone, please send me a personal message on this forum. Cheers. |

| 346269 | 2005-04-18 03:16:00 | I had a similar problem in Auckland getting a plumber to quote for a $2,000 job. There is just so much work out there for tradesmen at the moment and with the new building act amendment limiting DIY work on you own home, it will continue for some time. I have decided to hold off until the building boom eases off. With house sales slowing down, I may be able to ask again in a few months time. |

Thanks for the contact Neil - anyone else know of a builder in Hastings who might be able to quote for and begin a job in the next month or so? |
