Nothing like a bite of reality to hit on a sunday night, when one is watching telly . . . . . . and not on the comp!!!! LOL All along i have been saying you cannot rely on scans . . . . . . and had a vague feeling its not what they expect . . . that esp thing coming out i spose . . . But . . . . My newphew and his partner have just had a baby boy . . . . . when they were expecting a baby girl . . . . . LOL now thats a shock i reckon . Considering it was an accident to start with and their first babe, and everything,- new relationship, both young and not prepared for anything (obviously) and now babe is here and thats all he (they) is having the newphew says . . . . not doing that again . . . she had a terrible time?????? who says birth is fun? ;) LOL well he isnt anywhere near old enough for a vasectomy he is talking about . . . LOL Oh what fun it is to have babes . . . . . I can cluck all i want, and not have to worry and i can give it back . (the baby) beetle |

| 346026 | 2005-04-17 13:56:00 | Congratulations Beetle!! Speaking of a vasectomy, my Mothers Brother (AKA my Uncle) had one done, and had a child. So he went back and had it done a second time to find the tubes had managed to rejoin. A few months later, his wife fell pregnant yet again. He then had it done for a third time and (so far at least) hasnt had another. On the other side of the coin, my father has had the operation and (thankfully) I havent had any additional sibblings since :) |

I thought you were announcing impending Motherhood (again) with your subject title :D I bet they got a shock not getting the gender they expected, but then I don't think the standard scans are ever said to be 100% accurate with that . That said, I think it is still better odd's than some of the other methods of predicting gender, eg . whether the baby is carried all out the front, throwing up more in the evenings, whether a ring swings clockwise or anticlockwise in front of the belly  One of my closest friends recently had her first baby (a boy), and it was nice knowing what gender it was before it was born - and they got it right :p |
