| 345680 | 2005-04-16 09:28:00 | If you are in Auckland and you like pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) then the Vietnam Cafe in Atkinson Ave, Otahuhu makes the best I have ever tasted. My favourite is the pork soup. They also have excellent spring rolls and the sweet fried bread is great. I have tried noodle soups in China, Japan, Australia, Europe, and I cannot recall a better noodle soup, except maybe the "Across-the-Bridge" chicken noodle soup from South West China. | 345682 | 2005-04-16 22:43:00 | I blame the government for inflation. My pizza delivery price has gone up due to the petrol now costing about $1-30 a litre. For a decent pizza if you live in west auckland, try pizza contenta. bit pricey but better than the muck from the biggest rival. |

| 345685 | 2005-04-17 04:49:00 | Well for some decent Chinese places (my opinion)... Auckland of course. Yum Char: Sichuan in Remuera: 333 Remuera Road Remuera. Its actually decently priced and the food is not too shabby. Go at 11am and the food is straight out of the steamer and oven :) Dinner: Tasty Zone: East Tamaki. Decor looks a little shabby but its decently priced and you get decent sized meals. Sums Chinese Restaurant: 537 Balmoral Road Get someone who can read chinese, thats the best meals! They make prawn balls which are fab, just make sure you like the salted duck egg yolks I dont :yuck: Trend East Restaurant: 9 Sharkey Street Manukau City Nice little restaurant, cheap and decent sized meals but nothing too fancy on the menu. Roast Meats Sun World 2 York Street NewMarket NICE roast pork, duck, juicy poached chicken. Their dinner meals arent as good as they used to be. Welfare Noodle Bar Shop 16 / 29 Aviemore Drive, Highland Park Small shop but nice roast meats on the other side of Orcland All places offer free tea :p |
