344504 2005-04-14 01:52:00 Not knowing anything at all about Toshiba heat pumps, from your description it just sounds like a temperature regulator at work. Didn't it come with a user manual? Jen (38)
344505 2005-04-14 02:08:00 certainly came with a manual and ive read alot of times but never said anything about the cold air blowing out after the heating process.

im just trying to find out if its normal or something needs to be fixed.

344506 2005-04-14 02:52:00 I don't know air conditioners, but I have operated "automatic" furnaces.

This looks like overshooting. If the conditioner has a high output for the space, it can easily happen that the thermostat will "hunt". It has turned off the hot, but the thermostat's temperature is still rising, so it orders some cold.

There might be a setting which will stop this behaviour. Look for "hysteresis", or "proportional" in the manual. Hysteresis gives a "dead zone" between "more heat" and "more cold". Proportional control reduces the output as the controlled variable nears the setting.
