345275	2005-05-27 22:06:00	A sovereign nation has it's own laws, some of our laws are just plain stupid and the same goes for other countries . I wouldn't take kindly to any other nation telling Kiwi's what we can & can't do, this is our home . Other nations should have the same rights . The same goes for all the different religions . Keep off my doorstep, if I want to know I'll ask . If you don't agree with their laws, keep your traveling money at home and don't buy goods made there . :2cents:	Sue (33)
345276	2005-05-27 22:15:00	I spent two months in a prison in Jogyakarta for 28 grams of marijuana . I learnt to speak Indonesian while I was there and got on well with the other inmates and the guards . I was treated humanely and fed a minimal but healthy diet . Played volley ball twice a week and plenty opportunities to exercise . Used to have long and enjoyable conversations with the Head Of Security about everything - international politics -ethics - art & literature you name it . I came out of there like after two months at a health farm . Indonesian people are no better or worse than anyone else . We all have our good people and our crackpots . I just reckon in this Corby case that 20 years for a bag of dak is just ridiculous, way disproportionate to the crime . And anyway the puzzle remains why would someone smuggle a product from a high-retail price area to a low retail price area .	mark c (247)
