Hey Splatty go online and switch to the "purple" plan then click upgrade and select extra 20gb and you will be around same money u r paying now. A mate told me that will fix the problem..so i did..lets see how it goes. We gonna ring them tomorrow again though and piss them off ! |

| 649553 | 2008-03-27 06:42:00 | Hi, is anyone else having same problem downloading speed from overseas servers is pathetic, it been 3 weeks now that im lucky if i get more than 20kb. Before that my minimum download speed let say from rapidshare would be 50kb. BTW. im with orcon. Ping and loading pages is fast also speedtest is fast as. Dude exactly the same with me. I have fast national speeds according to nzdsl .co.nz/speedtest but sure slow (around 70kbps DOWN) speeds when checkign international nodes in Aus and London etc from speedtest.net. Orcon here too. Currently Orcon is asking me to try another modem which is BS.... |

I signed up for the free homeline last year and all was good now during the evening I get about 5kbps on each download with up to 10 totalling 50 max. They fed me a load of BS telling me that it was a problem with a router that has now been fixed. this started about 3/4 weeks ago. Time to change ISP I think |

Never heard of them before though . . Snap are based in Chch, used to be called Netaccess back in my day, then they merged with Inet also chch based to become Snap . I used to work there and they are a damn good bunch of people . no hesitation recommending them . |
