344289 2005-04-14 01:54:00 Billy, did you put your name in as part of the search? All the old files have "Guest" pefixed to the name ... (or maybe the name in the "member type" field) Graham L (2)

Ummm . . . . . . . . .

That could be the answer Graham, and if so perhaps there needs to be some instructions written for the search function because it is anything but intuitive . PF1 is the only site I have ever had problems searching . I'll give that a go .

Incidentally, I wonder why it is that I never get an answer to my queries regarding acceptable search terms and protocols?

Could it be that our gnomes don't actually know?

344291 2005-04-14 02:39:00 Probably they haven't had need to. It's just a matter of experiment. Every database has its own tricks for finding things. I've used a few library catalogues, and they are not intuitive. The different web search engines all behave differently. I've become reasonably good with Google, but it took a while, so now I stick with it. Graham L (2)

Could it be that not every PressF1 user is so thick? (as you or me) .

Could it be that you confuse "intuitive" with "just need to look a bit further than your nose"?
