You can also use them for 'boogieing' down sand dunes like people do in the Hokianga at North Head. JJJJJJJ. "Selling drugs is murder"? Selling tobacco is murder. Selling alcohol is murder. Selling cars is murder. On and on. As for the much expressed horror at the prison conditions in Indonesia - this smacks of western arrogance at the 'developing world". When I was there the conditions were basic, yes, but clean. (well you had to do the cleaning yourself but there ample resources to do it with) and the food simple, minimal and wholesome. I bet somewhere around L.A.(evens Aucks) some people are paying a fortune for a similar regime at a flash 'health farm'. I can only suppose those righteously horrified by the 'conditions' in Indonesian prisons a fully supportive of the conditions in our own. ......m (I am) |

Paparoa (CHCH Mens) boasts balanced kai, opertunity to exercize, compulsery cleaning, (that bit didn't come naturally to me) and severe boredom. Most of the people there were too thick to notice the lack of activity, but moaned anyway in good ol' Kiwi tradition. There's a few people there who can't cope in the real world, and consider it home. Its sad that it comes down to that, but i'd rather see them there than not coping in the real world and making trouble for themselves. |

| 345312 | 2005-05-30 23:58:00 | JJJJJJJ . "Selling drugs is murder"? Selling tobacco is murder . Selling alcohol is murder . Selling cars is murder . On and on . Agreed . . . . . . I work with people who sell a drug to people in mass . Sometimes to hundreds at a time . They aren't worried about the long term damage it is doing to thier cliental, and sometimes make quite a bit of $$ out of openly dealing a drug . These people are known as "publicans" and there profession is to openly sell one of the most destructive drugs in our society . . . . alcohol  I hope you people won't think less of me now that i've 'fessed up to my association with murderous friends . |

| 345313 | 2005-05-31 00:10:00 | Yes personthingy . And peterj116, that made me laugh . The drug business in Indonesia is not, shall we say (have to be a little careful here) entirely conducted by those outside the law . Part of the severity of the sentence may well be that those conducting it do everything to discourage outside competition . and have ample means to do so . *ducks* And I still think the "It should have been picked up by the accomplices in Sydney but they bungled it somehow" theory is the best . |

| 345314 | 2005-05-31 00:10:00 | . "Selling drugs is murder"? And lets not start on our own medical proffesion that uses "expert" advice to fill people up with often unnessessary drugs that often do shiploads of damage rather than advice people how to live a heathy life in the first place . And this is all government subsidised!!!! Its amazing really, you can go to the chemist and get pain killers so you can ignore the fact that your killing your back or doing your self in with poisons like alcohol . Sure it says "if pain persists, see a doctor" but only fanatic weirdos like me read the packaging on food and such "lollies" . Chances are the doctor would only give out stronger painkillers anyway, so you can continue what is basicly stupid suicidal behaviour . :yuck: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pot heads CHOOSE to smoke . People who sell them something that lowers there health and IQ are not murderers . |

NZ GPs have an ongoing program of Green Prescriptions were they prescribe exercise schedules and a healthy diet . The whole point is not to prescribe drugs . |

| 345316 | 2005-05-31 03:11:00 | Because our police and legal system would have rooted out the corrupt baggage handlers and customs official, and would have had video footage of her when the bag was opened . In her case it is a possibility that a baggage handler in Brisbane put the weed in her bag, destined to be collected by another baggage handler in Sydney - First you seem to be under the delusion that cops seek out the guilty when someone says they are the innocent one . Hahaha . Second if you want to transport drugs nationally you sure don't do it via an aiport where they have sniffer dogs and other inconvenient things, you drive or something else . |
