| 648941 | 2008-03-12 23:34:00 | Windows defender is driving me nuts! Every time I open the webshots photo manager, It recreates the startup entry in the startup folder, and of course, every time it does, windows defender tells me about it. How can I add the file C:\Program Files\Webshots\Launcher.exe to the safe programs list so that it doesn't keep telling me about it? Webshots itself has no option to stop this, only to turn the tray program off completely (which I don't want to do) The help file for defender tells me that next time the alert comes up, to choose "always allow" instead of just allow - of course that option ISN'T THERE. all I get are Permit or Deny  I have the same problem (although not as bad) with GB-PVR - every time I restart the computer, GB-PVR recreates the shortcut. Windows defender always tells me, but it's not so much of a problem as I usually use hibernation anyway. |
