2005-04-14 23:14:00 | Just seeing if this program is used by windows users and what they think of it?or have tried it and dumped it | plod (107) | |
2005-04-14 23:26:00 | I use it sometimes, well I think I needed it to enable the hdd side of the Ipod. (It gives u an option in Itunes to enable the ipod as a hard drive), so XP/2k can see it in My computer, and so u can copy contacts / files / notes to it. Altho, I found a Ashampoo program called CD 2 Ipod the other day. This program isnt free, but it'll let u rip directly from a cd to the ipod. No Itunes needed (unless u need Itunes still to turn off the enable hdd bit). BUT I dont think it'll matter. Even if u have MP3's on the Ipod, u can still play them thru the Ipod, and still copy files to it with the enable hdd option. Haven't tried CD 2 Ipod yet to find out.

2005-04-15 00:52:00 | Nah Itunes is good enough for me . I dont use it that much . Just for switching between hdd and so I can copy more MP3's to it . I might just use the Ipod as a portable hard drive . And when its enabled as a hdd, u dont need Itunes . Just a spare USB port Windows picks it up . Then it gets treated like any other hard drive .

2005-04-15 03:45:00 | I have tried it, most things worked OK. It didnt have support for my MP3 player(not an iPod), couldnt see how to get it to pick it up and sink the music, so soon after installing it I ditched it. Windows media player for me, it does everything.

2005-04-24 05:26:00 | Myself, I had iTunes before getting an iPod and hated it really, Got my iPod and started using XPLAY for iPod and found it so much better than itunes, but once the trial ended couldn't use it anymore, so went back to iTunes and my iPod was all stuffed up and iTunes wouldnt pick it up so i had to re-format my iPod and now all is good, except i still find iTunes a tad tedious, but i can live with it ;)

2005-04-24 06:27:00 | I have Itunes and use it in combination with my ipod... However like other users have said, I still use Winamp as my main media player as its less resource hungry on my system... I've had a few issues with updating itunes and then my ipod not being recognised... I think this is a known flaw and there is a bit of info on it if you google it... M.

2005-04-24 10:29:00 | Just been using it last couple of days and I like it (I would have tried it earlier but thought it was only of use to ipod users). I find it easier to sort my files and I like how it easily rips songs off my cd's. Might even tempt me to get an ipod, maybe. Windows MP just seems to over the top and I hate the way that second skin thing pops up and down when I am trying to minimise or move or close.
