I must have been lucky Phil, our regular driver backed over my new letterbox last year then came back down to tell me. He asked "how much", pulled out his wallet and left payment in full. He always parks at the top of the drive now and walks down. I wonder why. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 346827 | 2005-04-20 11:06:00 | You were lucky Billy. A while ago I ordered some stock, after a couple of days, I thought I'd better see what's happened to it, considering it was supposed to be an overnight delivery. The driver had delivered it to the wrong place + he didn't get his ticket signed. He then accused me of stealing it ************** was the reply. My supplier put a claim in & he had to pay for it out of his wages. Anyway a couple of weeks later he disappeared. I wonder why. Turns out the other place that got my stock must have thought it was christmas. He kept it as no-one could prove it. I heard it through the grapevine, do do doodo do | Phil B (648) | ||
| 346828 | 2005-04-20 11:21:00 | I have had dramas like that, packages sitting in depot's hundreds of miles from my place, packages signed off as delivered by the driver, that turned up (in a depot) after myself and the supplier had harsh words and the supplier decided I was an honest guy and waved a big stick at the courier....that was a bad situation, I was telling the supplier it never arrived, the courier company were telling them it was delivered the day prior. Gear off loaded from one Courier Company to another with no paper work. An order worth a few grand delivered to another shop in town, only discovered after the other shop mentioned to the driver on a subsequent visit that they got a free printer with the last delivery, prompting them to have ac close look at the packages only to find most of them should have come to me. No great stress though, its all in a days work and easier then digging ditches or breaking rocks. |
