If you mean, to boot the system (by pressing a key - like some mobos can, after you've shut it down). I'm pretty sure this ONLY works with PS/2 keyboards, not USB keyboards Which is why (if this is what you're trying to do now), its not working (Its a USB keyboard). And what Agent said There may be a jumper on the motherboard to allow the USB to receive 5v standby power, that needs to be set to enabled. Doing this on some mobos, (like this one) will also turn the LED/light off on an optical USB mouse. And probably a PS2 optical mouse. When you shut down. Because some USB optical mouse/s / mice LED/s / lights stay on. When you shut down. Until you change the above jumper. |

| 650235 | 2008-03-18 12:50:00 | There are no BIOS updates that address such an issue, and there is no jumper for that option, it's all controlled in BIOS for that board so, make sure you have: USB Resume from Suspend enabled (under power management) And perhaps also try enabling USB legacy keyboard support (under integrated periphrials) If you've got an optical USB mouse try what speedy said, see if the light still comes up even when the PC is turned off Also, make sure your keyboard is plugged directly into a port on the back of the PC - if it's going through a separately powered USB hub which may turn off |
