347510 2005-04-22 08:50:00 I'll second that! Mugshot of Earwig (www-unix.oit.umass.edu)
From the picture that the URL pointed, the "bug" that I saw doesn't seems to have a pair of claws at the back of it, only 2 little short antennas. The reason I cited that the home computer is in my room is because I am concern could it build a nest inside the computer case? After all, it is warm inside there..... :yuck: :yuck:

Thanks for the response, people :)

347511 2005-04-22 08:57:00 Earwigs crawl inside peoples ears at night,nestle/burrow into the soft flesh of your inner ear where there are no nerves and lay millions of eggs.....

So it isn't your comp being turned into a nest you should be worried about..... :nerd:

347514 2005-04-22 09:39:00 silverfish???

if you could give the colour, it would be a lot easier.

Try moth balls, napthalene or bay leaves. (Bay Leaves change monthly)
Just dont let any kids or pets near it.

That thing is the colour of an earwig, alright. Doesn't seems to be a silverfish nor moth balls. I've got only 1 sister, age 14. I wonder is there animals or bugs or crawlies that are capable of living inside the computer case? I remember on my old computer, ants were seen walking all over the computer case as well as sands being accumulated on the exterior part of the CD-ROM drive. Any suggestion that I can do to my bedroom besides vacuuming? Cheers :)

347516 2005-04-22 16:07:00 I wouldnt worry too much about it, the experts say we all probally eat a couple of bugs each week during our sleep, they either fly in or crawl over our faces and drop into your mouth, the natural reaction is to eat it in our sleep and not remember. Rob99 (151)
347517 2005-04-22 21:58:00 There are some great industrial type of anti-bug deterrents, but not sure where to find em - probably Mitre 10 or Bennings. However Mortein Plus Barrier Spray is readily available from supermatkets and is very effective (although not cheap). Greg (193)

You found it, killed it so now move on. Unless these insects keep re-appearing in the house/room, just forget about it. If you are concerned they are living in your computer case, then open it up and inspect it. I would be very much suprised if they were
