I'll tell you a little story about CourierPost that happened last week. I sent a heatsink to a guy in Hamilton on Tuesday (overnight delivery bag) and it didn't arrive on Wednesday, but in fact arrived on Monday a whole week later after the receiver rung them up and asked where it was. So I rung up as well and asked about what happened, seemed it got lost or misdirected. So they sent me a new CourierPost bag (signature required) as compensation for the slow delivery. :D

In this case the supplier of the heatsink you bought didn't package and protect the goods properly. Not really CourierPost's fault at all.

What a lying idiot!

I ordered one of these:
www.sal.neoburn.net

Courier Post were late so I rang to see what the prob was. They said "outer packaging was ripped so was kept back so it could be checked the items were ok. They were ok, so was then sent on to me late". I interrogated them a bit - as I was anxious nothng had maybe fallen out or whatever but no, I was assured it was fine.
This is what arrived this morning:

I'm not just annoyed cause its damaged, more that they lied and told me it was OK> Who checks them? A blind person?
How to you do that to a whacking great thing like that anyway - it would have to have been a truck!

And how do you know that - you didn't even see the original packaging. And in any case - to squash a solid HSF it would have to have been packed in a steel box to survive the treatment it got.

346818 2005-04-20 08:04:00 Courier Post are the only courier company that will not deliver here.

The driveway is about 40 metres long (not a back section) and in total it is 47 metres to the back door from the street. Urban area. No dogs.

All other couriers simply drive up, deliver, swing around (large sealed yard) and go.
Not Courier Post, they will only leave a card in the letterbox, saying "unable to deliver".

Complaints to head office are met with "drivers do not have to deliver if the driveway is over 50 metres long". It's not.

The answer? I just get clients to strenuously avoid using Courier Post. Works well.

346819 2005-04-20 08:09:00 Does the heasink still work?

Could be a top of the line brand spanking new (pre alpha) release, that there has only been made one of, and it includes an in-side-outside air flow before it leaves the packet.

Includes a crapped out unbalanced fan that makes noices , crap the silent fans, you want to know your computers working don't you?

What the hell did they do to it? Chuck it in a boiler and run over it in a aircraft?

346824 2005-04-20 10:02:00 I use courier companies every day through work. Courier post are the second worst out there for performance. Fastway leave them for dead. Damage? they're all much of a muchness, but at the end of the day you will have to keep on at them to get your money. Phil B (648)
