1424761 2016-08-22 05:06:00 I want to uninstall Skype. I have searched the net and found various "uninstallers" but most come from sites I have never heard of and don't trust. One is a method from Microsoft and might be OK. Is Revo suitable for this?

TIA

1424762 2016-08-22 10:23:00 can't you just uninstall it the regular way? dugimodo (138)
1424763 2016-08-22 10:27:00 You HAVE to be careful uninstalling Skype with Revo, just doing it willy-nilly will often take out other parts of programs esp if you have Essentials installed. Seen one, totally mucked up the windows live mail as well. wainuitech (129)

Do you mean by using ControlPanel's Add and Remove programmes? There are plenty of posts on the net saying that this doesn't work because it doesn't do a complete cleanout and you can't then do a reinstall or install a later version.

Well that is the way to uninstall programs. Give it a try.

Make an image first if you are concerned. You can then easily put it back to its current state If you are not happy with the result.

there was once a bogus program/addin that skype installed many moons ago, that did require special treatment to remove: past history now.
