1424732 2016-08-21 21:29:00 I have a Toshiba Tecra R840 laptop. ESET tells me that I have updates waiting. It lists a number of Toshiba updates and a windows office 2007 update. However, when I run the Windows 10 update and Security utility, these updates do not activate.

How can I force these updates? I cannot find anything on the system that will allow me to do this!

1424733 2016-08-21 21:57:00 Toshiba updates aren't going to come from Microsoft. You will need to visit a Toshiba site to find and download these ones.

There is an advanced option under Win 10 Update to select Give me updates for other MS Products. Tick this. But don't hold your breathe for Office 2007 update. It will probably be more certain to go to an MS Office from MS directly, e.g. here support.office.com

1424734 2016-08-21 22:07:00 Thanks. As far as Toshiba is concerned, there are many of their programs that are disabled by W10 and at this time Toshiba do not seem o have an answer for them. Bryan (147)
1424735 2016-08-21 23:02:00 1 - Do all your windows updates.
2 - make sure Eset is up to date. 9.0.402.0 is the current version.
3 - if you still get notifications about updates, just turn off that option in Eset. Advanced setup, tools, windows update. Change to never notify.
