| 1424619 | 2016-08-17 22:16:00 | Never used it personally, is it worth having if you don't get a lot of mail? yep, certainly is. The reason -- it lets you see what mail is waiting to come through to your computer. That way if there's anything suspect, junk mail, like some invoice or document that you receiving but know nothing about, Eg: the ransomware mails. You can delete it BEFORE it comes through. You only let through the mails you want to receive. In the pro version it has a recycle bin setup, so if you delete something you shouldn't have you can always recover it. It does wipe out attachments though. Here's an example of my rejected mails amount from the last 7 days. The current count for 30 days is 619 7359 |

| 1424620 | 2016-08-17 22:52:00 | The email client I use (Foxmail) has a remote manager that lets you look at whats on the mail server and delete or accept like mailwasher, when I remember to use it ! Orcon has a good spam filter which removes most spam most of the time, just occasionally something gets through. Mailwasher used to have a bounce back feature, but that was frowned upon, does it still ? |

| 1424621 | 2016-08-17 23:07:00 | I use PopPeeper, no bounce feature, but similar idea- check what email is waiting to come in. Freeware, and can have multiple email accounts in it. | Renegade (16270) | ||

| 1424624 | 2016-08-18 02:08:00 | Mailwasher used to have a bounce back feature, but that was frowned upon, does it still ? thats something you should never do (bounceback spam), for a variety of reasons a bit old , but some good info here http://www.dontbouncespam.org/ "TQMCube.com, Spamcop and other blacklists now consider misdirected bounces as spam, and they are treated as such. If your server is bouncing spam you will eventually get listed as a spam source. " |
