1422445 2016-06-28 01:19:00 Im surprised she won this case.
According to one source , it was from long before MS resorted to dirty tactics & trickery (x = yes)

So she or her staff must have clicked accept/yes on the popup box without reading it .
Some of the US judges & jurors are completely computer illiterate though, maybe thats how she won.

US10k is chickenfeed to MS .

Lets see how many completely different versions of this story come out on the interwebs. The anti MS brigade will be spinning & wording this to suit.
No one seems to check the actual facts anymore .

1422448 2016-06-28 04:38:00 Its a joke really, the article has a link to another, and the very first few lines say
A few days after Microsoft released Windows 10 to the public last year, Teri Goldstein’s computer started trying to download and install the new operating system. Well that's TOTAL bull for starters -- if it were only a few days after the release, then she (or someone else ) would have clicked on the get windows 10 upgrade. It wasn't till months later that MS started changing the delivery method. MANY people clicked on the get W10 icon to see what it was, and then there was another option to reserve it. many clicked it and nothing happened so they forgot about it -- BUT guess what by doing that they approved the download.

As for buggering the computer --- Again its rare for the OS to actually cause complete damage, if it did there will 9 times out of 10 be an underlying cause. MANY people have corrupted OS's and simply don't know or care.

What about any techs over there ?? Are they all damn THICK or something -- why not either reinstall windows to what ever version the person had before.????

If she was using only one PC for a business that's suicide -- Wheres backups? Anyone who only has one PC and relies on it for running their business is crazy -- Lets take for a minute -- What would have happened if her HDD had failed ??? cant blame anyone but herself.

As for the first post and the question --Simple -MS will simply put out a update that will remove the W10 upgraded prompt - end of story.

Details are still being finalized, but on July 29th the Get Windows 10 app that facilitates the easy upgrade to Windows 10 will be disabled and eventually removed from PCs worldwide. Just as it took time to ramp up and roll out the Get Windows 10 app, it will take time to ramp it down
