1422397 2016-06-26 07:07:00 Hi All.
Is it possible to type/text into an email to go to a cell phone? Thanks. PJ

1422398 2016-06-26 10:20:00 You mean "e text" - email text to a mobile number and the telco's gateway and possibly SMS service center number) as the email address. Described here (www.digitaltrends.com) - But don't know if NZ telco's would support it. but paid services seem to exist, e.g. NZ Web SMS (websms.co.nz). kahawai chaser (3545)

1422400 2016-06-26 22:36:00 Ok I will try that later

I have another query now more important. Maryann in Hospice Hospital has no internet access. I want to download recent emails from family in the UK onto a pendrive. I have looked at the email pages & cannot see how to do it. Fairly urgent plase as I might be taken to see her this afternoon. She will be 80 tomorrow. Thanks PJ

1422402 2016-06-26 23:52:00 Try opening message then select print (or right click in message to select print- but don't print), and look for destination (or similar) and change/save to pdf. Or may have option to upload/save online. For example Google Drive, if using Gmail. May have to convert PDF's to text (rtf), then copy to pen drive. kahawai chaser (3545)
1422403 2016-06-26 23:53:00 Bump, getting urgent now. Pretty please. PJ If you are using Windows live mail ( or any mail client really - and some web mail) if you double click the mail you want , this opens that mail only, then top left from "file" click that and you'll get options , including Print, save as etc, BUT if taking to someone like your wife printing would be a better option then its on paper - no other devices to read/required.

1422405 2016-06-27 01:45:00 If using Gmail, another way is to activate the text widget in the labs section. Described here... (www.makeuseof.com). Though I can't find that widget....probably removed. kahawai chaser (3545)
1422406 2016-06-27 02:08:00 All done as per W.. Thanks to all. PJ Poppa John (284)
