| 1421427 | 2016-06-04 05:25:00 | Hi All My wife Mary Ann is in Wanganui Hospice with terminal cancer of her spine. Don't know how long she has got, no more treatments. I have a touch of paraplegia amongst other things am now in a rest home Virginia Lodge. I am deemed to be unsafe living alone but have to be assessed again & if I "pass" will be here permanently. PJ:mad::crying:crying. Such is life. PJ |

| 1421430 | 2016-06-04 06:03:00 | Poppa - our thoughts are with you. The Hospice is a good place - my husband was in the local one a couple of times. They really are good to everyone in the family. I had experience of assessing people for Rest Homes in my job - they do a good job too. I know it is not home, but you will be warm and comfortable (and you will get your internet access sorted out).
