1421220 2016-05-31 00:31:00 Queen's Birthday is almost upon us, and with it a s***load of Sunday drivers on the roads. All long weekend. If they're not in a traffic jam, they'll be overtaking the queue in an effort to get wherever faster.

Or worse:

What's in front of the vehicle in front of you? (youtu.be)

Yes, it can happen anytime, anywhere. But on a long weekend, there's more chance because there's more people out there on the roads.

Take care folks.

:)

1421222 2016-05-31 06:23:00 Funny I have done piss trips in my bus on holiday weekends without problems. Have a CB set to truck channel so can divert well away from any crashes. prefect (6291)

1421224 2016-05-31 06:58:00 Would help if people on the motorway didn't feel the need to slow down and gawk at every minor accident or person pulled over by the police.
I've been slowed to a crawl for 20 minutes only to discover the cause was traffic slowing down to look at a crashed car and police attending some 6 metres off the side of the motorway with no obstructions in any lanes at all.

That's why I don't commute on the motorway ;)

If you are insinuating that you are clever by doing a rat run around the motorway, you fooled no one. If there is one nano second to be saved on a trip around 99% of the commuters will be using it. But I am guessing as an anorak or train spotter that you take a train.

1421227 2016-06-01 00:18:00 We don't go away on long weekends. We would rather stay at home rather than fight all that traffic.

We take leave on a Friday and go away when other people are at home. Traffic is not a problem and the motorcamps are not overflowing. Makes much more sense.

1421228 2016-06-01 05:29:00 We used to do that. Well when the kid wasn't at school anyway...go away mid to end of Feb for instance. Better weather, empty roads, empty campsites. pctek (84)
