The other issue they have is the age of their nukes themselves, and with specialists retiring they have issue with new techs not having the onhand experience needed . Many of the nukes are now so old (and complex) that some have said they really dont know how many of them will still work when needed . They have been upgrading some of the delivery systems but not the actual nuke. And because of the test ban treaty, they cant test any of them. getting slightly off topic (sorry) I see NZ Police are having another crack at upgrading their computer system , remember the disaster last time. Hands up all those who think it will be another disaster (thats financial disaster for the taxpayer) , starting to look that way allready. |
