| 1421163 | 2016-05-31 05:56:00 | Hope Wai doesn't see this post !!, he will go ballistic. 8" floppies, isn't that mini computer stuff ?. Dont have any of the larger floppies left, not after my big clean out a couple of years ago when they and teh drives went out. But still got plenty of 3.5" floppies, even got a packet of brand new ones never been used. Got several Drives -- Finding any old (working) motherboards that have a floppy socket -- Thats a different story ;) A few I used to use all the time :D 7226 I think I'll sack the cleaning lady, bench is still dirty from coffee stains  |

| 1421164 | 2016-05-31 06:37:00 | I've still got some Commodore C-64 floppies - the ones that you can use for dinner plate doilies . Anyone want to buy three daisy chained C-1541 drives? With cables? 72277228 I always liked when the spider ate his head off . . . . . 7229 |

| 1421165 | 2016-05-31 06:51:00 | and yet look how win10 is being force fed to the masses..... what a contradiction! Entirely different thing, DOS isn't broken so why are you using windows? Horses and Carts still work, why are you using a car? It's called progress. Sure it doesn't always go in the direction we'd like but that's no reason to stop it altogether. Maybe MS practice of downloading the update on unsuspecting people is a bit underhanded but it really has nothing to do with launching Nukes with a floppy. The floppies do what they need to do and there is no need to change them, in other fields, such as say home computers, requirements are continuously changing. Also if someone hacks your home PC it's not going to result in Nuclear war. |

| 1421166 | 2016-06-01 06:40:00 | Gee 5.25 and 3.5 floppies were very unreliable. 8" must be even worse. It does seem very hard to believe. North Korea would have more up to date systems. |

| 1421167 | 2016-06-01 07:25:00 | 7225 LOL. A bit reminiscent of a systems analyst who took both copies of the off-site backups of programs and data of a major company across town in Wellington in his fancy briefcase around (or just after) the time of the switch to $ from that imperial stuff. The data was on magnetic tape. He sat in the worst seat. It was a trolley bus. The switch gear for the bus's traction motors was right below the worst seat, and the EMP was impressive. He did not get a gold watch when he left the company at high speed |

I wonder how many people wanted Windows 10 (or at least "to stay on the latest version"), but either didn't know how to upgrade to it or were afraid to schedule it themselves and are now glad that the free upgrade was scheduled and run the upgrade. |

| 1421169 | 2016-06-01 11:13:00 | Young woman I know was sitting in the CPIT (PolyTec in Christchurch) at about 5.15pm studying for an important exam at 7.00pm when suddenly her laptop screen blanks out and then tells her it is updating to Win 10%, so she does not have the use of the laptop for the exam which was critical, great. She had been "X'ing" away the popup asking her if she wanted to upgrade but MS had changed the "X" to mean Yes, great Stuff/Up M$. Her sister and her boyfriends laptop, same deal, updated against their wishes. I want to say this loud and clear: FCUK YOU M$ |

| 1421170 | 2016-06-01 16:38:00 | Something for free is always suspect . Something free from Microsoft should be viewed askance . Feared, even! This free stuff is a whole new metric from those M$ guys . Deep in the inner crags and nooks of youse guys minds, you KNOW this is not gonna work out well - they'll monetize this - bigtime! - and then you'll all be jumping on the Linux/Puppy Wagon . Do it now and get a head start while there's still time . M$ :devil IS the correct operative here - this is gonna cost and cost and cost and cost some more . Youbetchum! A quick quote here: Cortana can parse even more information about stuff it thinks you might need . For example, the on-stage demo showed us that Cortana can respond to things like Send Chuck the PowerPoint I worked on last night, or What toy store did I visit at Build last year? Thats pretty crazy . Of course, if youre more privacy-conscious, thats crazy in all the wrong waysbut its a pretty tempting set of features . |

The simple answer is 57, but after a subtle adjustment to their medication they are now ok. Their PCs are a different story, quite severe treatment is required. The emperors new clothes are great while the sun shines, but once the temperature changes it will be a long chilly season indeed for all patrons of that tailor |
