There are three words in the English language that end in "gry". ONE is angry and the other is hungry. Everyone knows what the third ONE means and what it stands for. Everyone uses them everyday, and if you listened very carefully, I've given you the third word. What is it? _______gry?

Can anyone answer this riddle?

There are three words in the English language that end in "gry" . ONE is angry and the other is hungry . Everyone knows what the third ONE means and what it stands for . Everyone uses them everyday, and if you listened very carefully, I've given you the third word . What is it?

It would possibly help comprehesion if there were other quote marks within the question . Possibly a comma or two would help as well .

Try this:-
There are three words in, "the English language", that end in "gry" . ONE is angry and the other is hungry . Everyone knows what the third ONE means and what it stands for . Everyone uses them everyday, and if you listened very carefully, I've given you the third word . What is it?

The third word is "language" but the question as framed is wrong .

349313 2005-04-28 01:31:00 Eh? "Hungry' and "angry" don't appear in the phrase "the Englisn Language". It's ment to fool you. It is asking what the third word of the phrase is, not the third word that ends in gry is. - Note that there are more than 3 words in the english dictionary that end with gry. ILikeLinux (1669)
349314 2005-04-28 02:20:00 Its similar to the old school "Dictionary. How do you spell it?" I - T :/ sal (67)
