| 348884 | 2005-04-26 04:03:00 | Ah.its not free after all.Costs $30 to upgrade.I've just upgraded it rite now. Not much new features.Just that you can change your on account plan by typing in the name of the plan instead of calling and telling vodafone to change it. There's now a IOU menu so no need to text 468. HotLink is now in the sim card letting you top up your prepay or pay your account. You can join chat rooms now at the My vodafone menu ha thats mainly about it.Can't believe I did the upgrade. What a waste of money.lol |

If everyone justed used their cells to make calls/texts, then the teleco's revenue stream would stagnate because there is only a limited captive market. And having a stagnating business is not good at all, so they will do anthing to get you to part with your dollars as fast as possible. | Cptn Hotshot (3904) | ||

If you have a hotlink capable phone and you don't have a sim2, if you text the name of your bank, and it is hotlink capable, to 262, you will get a voucher back that allows you to buy a sim2 card (with $10 airtime) for $9.95. (Hint: BNZ is the only bank that uses hotlink - nudge, nudge, wink, wink) |

| 348889 | 2005-04-26 07:57:00 | Yeah I was just looking at on the site, but their system seems retarded because I have tried typing in BNZ in all variation even tried Bank of New Zealand tried about 5 times and keeps coming back as we cant determine you bank blah blah. I think this must be a get rich quick scheme for Vodafone  | Overdrive_5000 (4950) | ||
| 348890 | 2005-04-26 08:01:00 | That hotlink sounds really good aye, i can finally put under $20 on the account which is really ghood, now all we need is westpac to start up... | jackrulz (2216) | ||
| 348891 | 2005-04-26 09:20:00 | Ok, update from me: Firstly, I texted 262 with the exact word -and upper/lower case alphabets exact as - 'Bank of New Zealand'. Got a text back straight away ~ Bugger! You're handset does not support HotLink. You will need to upgrade it before you can use this service. What!?! My handset is newer than most of the ones they said were supported. Only thing is~ I bought my phone overseas and not from them. What a shame, they won't even send me a voucher!Ah well.. next time maybe. P.S. It's not free, still costs you $9.95, but it does come with $10 airtime. |
