650544 2008-03-30 02:25:00 Only have the mobo and need the front cables for the power and restart buttons and the power and hdd light. The mobo has not got normal pin header for them like ever other mobo it has a female plug.

trying to just get the empty case to use for parts.

650547 2008-03-30 02:54:00 one is a 40 pin and other is a 30 pin the one i need to use is the 40 pin. pin 12 rst_sw i think is restart button. pin 14 HDled i think is for the hdd led. Pin 15 pw_sw I think is for power button. But dont no what the power led is and the earth pins are for them. bluezone (12434)
650548 2008-03-30 03:41:00 Hmm something like this should work (www.edencomputers.co.nz)

This is the site for it (www.silverstonetek.com)

Except this has 4 USB on the front

But there is a USB header on the mobo (but I dont know if this will take 1 or 2 connections)

And I dont know what the connection on the front of this case looks like

But any case similar to this (if its got the right connections/connector for the mobo) should work ok

650549 2008-03-30 04:14:00 I suspect from the nomenclature that it should be the following...
1 Mouse Clock
2 Mouse Clock common
3 Mouse Data
4 Mouse Data common
5 Keyboard Clock
6 Keyboard clock common
7 Keyboard Data
8 Keyboard Data common
9 Keyboard Power
10 Keyboard Ground
11 Keyboard Power
12 Reset Switch
13 FP ground (Common Ground)
14 Hard Drive LED
15 Power Switch
16 Hard Drive Power Up
17 G?? LED B
18 Vcc (+5Volts)
19 G?? LED A
20 - 40 Sound connections

A guess at GLEDA and B would be the earth points for the LEDs and the second Keyboard power (11) would do for the power LED.
A multimeter would be the best test once you could have the ability to start it up.

That case? the front panel plugs are differant the are all differant plugs for each thing for like a normal mobo.

This is the system that the mobo come out of: www.nzoczone.com

I only got the mobo.

(PHEONIX.) Thanks for that the 30 pin plug is for the USB and firewire.

650551 2008-03-30 04:40:00 Well it doesnt matter WHAT the case looks like.

Just as long as you can connect whatever to the front of it

And its got the right connections

Other only thing u can do (if u want the exact case), is email Shuttle US (us.shuttle.com)

And ask if u can buy the case separate

Thanks . has that case got the big black plug for the front panel you linked as i had a fast look on google and it looked like the front panel was lots of little plugs like a normal pc .

I have emailed Shuttles about the plug and to see what the pins are . Going to email them and ask if can buy case on own as i havent seen it yet

650553 2008-03-30 06:12:00 Random question, just curious why this motherboard? What's so special in terms of features about, it you seem to be going out of your way to get a compatible PSU and front panel connector. Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to simply buy a standard ATX type motherboard? stormdragon (6013)
