350004 2005-04-29 03:52:00 Is this a new or second hand PC?
If it's new you'll pay about $1500.

350005 2005-04-29 04:04:00 $1500?

Come on, Even my basic system with an LCD and OS is only $1220,and I don't try and compete with the cut price operators in Auckland.

You could build it for less, but go into a shop and try and buy one.

350007 2005-04-29 04:20:00 Jack, I am a shop,Thats what I sell em for, and there are mutiple Auckland retailers that would easily undercut it. Metla (12)

Ok I'll take your word for it. I must patronise the wrong shops.

Tell me, what can I expect to sell a Pavillion for? Four months old been sitting on the floor for the past three months.

Its hard to say, But I would put it somewhere between what the bargin hunters on trademe thought it was worth and what you wanted for it, Computers are just a collection of hardware so the brand becomes irrilvent as far as price structure is concerned once you leave Harvey Normans.

I don't handle newish second hand computers due to the fact that they deprciate so fast, and to sell them at a realistic price puts them too close to the cost of a new system.

When You take into account a brand new motherboard can be had for $80 to $120 yours suddenly becomes worth $40, take into account its probally a HP modified board so it becomes worth $20......
