348937 2005-04-26 09:14:00 I do enjoy saying to people who are screaming at me on the phone "I'm sorry, I will have to throw you out the window now..."

Of course the upside is that it takes a while to get a new phone and there's peace for a few days :)

348942 2005-04-26 22:21:00 Got a Telecom T3G "Harrier" - 300-400kbps data rate, great as a Data Device (WEB. Texting, Blutooth Modem, PDA, Photos, Video, MP3 player, Games, etc.) crap as a phone, even with a bluetooth headset. I consider it an enhanced PDA.

Still use my Hyundai TX95C as my main phone. It works like a phone should.

348943 2005-04-26 22:26:00 Mines about 6 months old. I gave away my old one to my son, and i'm thinking he got the better deal. Although i like the small size of the new Alcatel one touch 735, the old squashed plastic bubble Alcatel 311(?) gave me a weeks battery life as aposed to 2-3 days. The 311 also passed the reliability test that only time could give it.

The cameras on the new phone is a nice toy, but thats all it is. At the end of the day both allowed me to keep in touch as i move about, and as i get around each night, a mobile is esentual.

348944 2005-04-26 22:38:00 Bought my Nokia from the Warehouse in May 2000. Still works perfectly. No colours - no texting - no camera. But you turn it on (power switch is obvious) and use it just like an ordinary phone. Great but I only used it for emergencies (heart condition). Mainly used to call out the AA if I had car trouble or a puncture. I only pay if used - no minimum yearly. Nobody has ever known its number - it is never switched on unless I call out. Pity about the battery - runs down too quickly even if not used. The thing weighs a ton so I bought a Vodafone for my wife. Yee Gods its difficult - good job I have grandchildren who can explain to me how it works. The manual is unreadable (Tiny black printing on a very red background). When will these people learn?
