I know I can set the view to "large icons" (e.g.), but I'm looking for is the ability to show/hide a preview when to view is set to "details". If you set the folder type to "all items" it shows the preview. That's one of my main gripes with Vista, it choosing in what way it "helpfully" thinks a folder should be presented depending on the contents of the folder. "Apply to all folders" under "Folder and Search Options" should be final word on what all folders display as and then you can change the view on a per folder basis. This works up to a point but eventually fails. |
