348929 2005-04-26 06:30:00 I have one, Haven't seen it for 6 weeks though,Pure bliss.

Only ever purchased a new phone when the old one has stopped working, And I only buy a phone for phonecalls, not email, image, camera, games, fashion or the rest of the tacky gimmicks.

The hardest part of the purchase was trying to find one that wasn't as gay as Fredy Mercurey or look like a prop from Buck Rodgers.

I probally failed on both accounts, They all look like props from a camp version of Dr Who.

348932 2005-04-26 07:55:00 Yea my nokia 3315 is about 2 years old, all numbers worn off keypad, broken screen because i punched it when i lost at snake and teh charger stopped working the other day, teh wires kindive burnt out but apart from all that its great.. jackrulz (2216)
348933 2005-04-26 08:26:00 Mine, A hyundai HCG-310E I've had since 2002.

I have dropped at least 8 times from about waist height onto concrete, wood, tile, pavement bricks and it still goes like a charm.

Its got marks from where its been dropped but no major cracks or anything.

Cleaning the screen of dust is a major pain in the bum as I have to take the phone apart. Screw the warranty, its already expired anyway.

I'll get a new one when this one goes. Probably go cheap and basic.

348934 2005-04-26 08:34:00 used to have a Nokia 66something, a bit like a brick... got thrown out the window of my car on the motorway (easier than switching it off!)

Now onto a panasonic... maybe 8 months old, needed something fairly streamlined without protruding antenas that could also fit into small places ;-)

Unlike Metla I can live with looking like Buck Rodgers, might be uncool to walk like Freddy though!

348935 2005-04-26 08:49:00 Had a Philips Savvy up until Xmas when everybody pitched in to replace it as it looked pathetic. The keys were well worn out and not much juice from the battery. I would drop it about once a week and the battery lid would come off and the battery sprawled in the middle of the street, sort of like a real life version of frogger :nerd:

It replaced the geriatric Telecom Motorola 300 Series brick we use as "emergency phone" (when people are too cheap to top up straight away).

348936 2005-04-26 08:53:00 got thrown out the window of my car on the motorway (easier than switching it off!)Sounds like the scene from The Blues Brothers where John Belushi throws the car's cigarette ligther out the window after lighting up. Tom McB (832)
