| 652005 | 2008-03-24 07:20:00 | Only piece of advice I can offer is stay away from the Asus M3A motherboard paired with a Phenom 9500 Quad core CPU... I just recently did a build and it was a bit of a headache... Not a bad setup but more trouble than it was worth. Cheers, |

| 652007 | 2008-03-24 07:24:00 | There are several items I would toss if it were mine but I think you should let one of the expert have a look at 1st | Driftwood (5551) | ||
| 652008 | 2008-03-24 20:30:00 | Ok no-one else seems to be responding to this so I will have a go . Put Hijackthis in its own folder first & redo the scan first . This first one I would be suspicious of . R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings,ProxyOverride = * . local The next 4 I would get rid of . O2 - BHO: NCO 2 . 0 IE BHO - {602ADB0E-4AFF-4217-8AA1-95DAC4DFA408} -(no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file) O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {90222687-F593-4738-B738-FBEE9C7B26DF} - (no file) O23 - Service: Print Spooler Service (adiluexii0bli5uo) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\lmpmueimhat . exe (file missing) This last one suggests to me you may have some Norton Antivirus files O23 - Service: Symantec Lic NetConnect service (CLTNetCnService) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSvcHst . exe (file missing) |

| 652009 | 2008-03-24 22:19:00 | Your machine would play games better with a faster cpu and might benefit slightly form 2G of RAM, but it could be cheaper to replace the whole MB DDR2 is cheaper than DDR, and AM2 cpus are cheaper and more easily obtained than 939 . I upgraded my sister's machine for just under $300 with new MB, 2G RAM and an X2 4200+ cpu - not high end but worth remembering when pricing 939 CPU's Now - Mini RANT time LAG is caused by network issues and is when the ping time is so high as to noticeably effect the response of an online game to your attempts to control your character etc . IT IS NOT poor game performance due to hardware issues, not enough RAM, too slow of a CPU etc . I see it used this way increasingly and it's starting to bug me ( obviously ) . LOW FRAME RATE IS NOT LAG . rant ends |
