651986 2008-03-24 02:18:00 I have a 939 3500 and also an AM2 dual '4200' machine here, the dual core AM2 2X2100 is faster. Unfortunately some 939 boards take the more expensive DDR memory rather than the inexpensive DDR2 800 MHz.
Have you considered the ASUS 775 boards and a dual Intel processor?

651988 2008-03-24 03:29:00 Sounds to me like your computer has issues, if it's running really slow and randomly restarting.

Because your hardware isn't too bad, really.

(Unless you're trying to run everything on maximum settings on the highest resolution possible)

Is the restarting caused by BSOD? do you get a "system recovered from serious error" message when you restart? Perhaps virus?

Check system properties, advanced, startup and recovery properties and disable automatic restart on system failure.

651989 2008-03-24 03:33:00 You say it is slow even when not playing games.
That shouldn’t be the case if you have it set up right.
How many other programs or apps do you have running in the background?
