| 651817 | 2008-03-23 19:33:00 | Now I understand.Sorry,it may be best to wait till a windows person comes along or try Ubuntu I am pretty sure it will show the disk.Just a thought tho when you installed the disk was it in the same ide cable or on one on its own If on the same cable the jumper will have to be set to slave. No need to be sorry you're just trying to help me. Anyways the jumper has already been seen to slave. So anyways do I just download Ubuntu, burn it, do I run it and install on the CD or something along the lines of that? Also how do I set my computer to boot from a CD? Thanks. |

Once your bios is set to boot from Cd first you then just put the cd in the drive and boot from it. It will run the Ubuntu from the Cd without installing it and you can then look for your drives and change them or whatever you need to do | gary67 (56) | ||
