Personally I have stayed well clear of iPod's and just the Sony Video Walkman will drag and drop Mp3's and WMA's, but unfortunately teenagers think that they have to have an iPod despite being warned against it.

I suspect Apple thinks everyone uses just a huge C Drive with all the files on them, whereas I only put programme files on the C Drive. My music is on the F Drive but it doesn't seem to matter where I put the I Tunes programme file, it just doesn't work. Strangely, my daughter subsequently tells me it works when logged into her account on the same computer, so go figure.

Hmmmm - Two things come to mind -- 1.open itunes, file/Add Folder to Library - navigate to the folder on the F Drive and see if it will import the songs.

This does work most of the time as my media center PC in the lounge has most of my music on it, and Itunes on all the other PC's have been told to play from there - so thats over a network.

If not working - 2. As an experiment - open Itunes, go to Edit/ Preferences - Click the Advanced Tab / General Tab - Right in the middle of the page is the Itunes Store Location. WRITE down where it currently is so you can put it back if it doesn't work Example (www.imagef1.net.nz) ( I removed my name but you get the picture -Pun intended:D ) then click the Change Button, navigate to the folder you have your music in on the F Drive.

Teenagers are better at identifying what is "cool" or "in" than their parents.
