651728 2008-03-22 23:30:00 I need to reformat my C:
I'm trying to kill the Vista OS I was running but it has messed with the master boot record or something and the reinstall of XP pro I did after setup says 'Disk Boot Failure'.
Can anyone recommend a good partition management program which creates a bootable cd-rom? I don't have a floppy drive.

651729 2008-03-23 02:19:00 Did you format first? You can wipe the partitons and create new ones from the XP Cd. pctek (84)
651730 2008-03-23 03:47:00 You can wipe the HD using Darik's Boot and Nuke (http://dban.sourceforge.net/). Ive used it to wipe HDs prior to selling the PC. Apparently fills whole the hard disk with 0's, so no data remains. jwil1 (65)
