350541 2005-04-30 00:48:00 Can someone tell me ; what is the difference between clicking on a tab and clicking on an item in my favourites list? Seems the favourites list is better because you have more choices. JJJJJ (528)
350542 2005-04-30 01:11:00 What browser is this Jack? If it is Firefox, then I'm finding it hard to understand what you are describing. Could you be a bit more specific - thanks :) Jen (38)
350543 2005-04-30 01:35:00 Which tab are you talking about, Jack?

In browsers, tabs are individual webpages that you have open and can switch between within one browser window rather than having multiple instances of the browser open and the pages cluttering up the Taskbar as Internet Explorer does.

It sounds like you are referring to tabs elsewhere though. More details would help.

350544 2005-04-30 01:55:00 Do you mean like in Mozilla you can open a new page in a Tab rather than a new Window? What's this got to do with favourites  mark c (247)
350545 2005-04-30 04:35:00 Well I've only seen it called tabs. Where you put your favourite program into your browser and click on it when you want it.
Yes I was thinking of Firefox when I asked the question.
What i'm getting at is I have a whole column of favourites alongside my browser and it's no harder to click on one there than one sitting on a tab at the top of the page.
Make sense????

350546 2005-04-30 04:54:00 Me thinks you are referring to the bookmarks toolbar rather then actual tabs, I have that sucka disabled,It takes up screenspace, looks fugly, holds a limited amount of shortcuts and I would much prefer to use my favourits the usual way, with access to all of em. Metla (12)
350547 2005-04-30 08:17:00 Yip, the bookmark toolbar was the first to go here too, it wastes browser real estate.

The bit which annoys me of Firefox is that when I try and rearrange my favourites I cannot delete the useless (to me anyway) "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder". I understand why it has to be there (for the top toolbar option), but give me an option then somewhere to dump/recreate it.

350548 2005-04-30 08:29:00 Oh I get it sorry JJJJJJJ. In Mozilla Seamonkey it's the Personal Toolbar with Home and Bookmarks on it when I installed Mozilla I tossed it out straight away so forgot it was even there. Did the same as Bobo. cheers....m mark c (247)
350549 2005-04-30 08:39:00 Yes. The big tab is terrible.

Heres my funky looking Firefox setup. [url]http://sal.neoburn.net/imagef1/files/crudeimage.jpg (image0000001)
