| 652892 | 2008-03-26 07:29:00 | how big is the AVI you want to send? if its not to big you can zip it, I have a 15.4Mb Video I made that when zipped is 13.00 Mb, other wise you can always split the AVI and send it in multi parts, You can use this File Splitter Here (www.adsensoftware.com) You can split it to various sizes, then send 1 section at a time, along with the program to rejoin all the parts. - works fine. Here is (www.imagef1.net.nz)a picture of the sizes you can split it to. |

| 652894 | 2008-03-26 09:44:00 | If sending to a few people you could upload to free small server files (some where you don't need to sign up, e.g. drop.io (http://drop.io/) or mediafire and get the intended recipients to down load the file. Though such servers sometimes have a 100 MB file size limit.. Currently, I use the free google pages to store files for medium size downloads for family members, after emailing them the url to link to... |

| 652899 | 2008-03-27 10:34:00 | In that case you might want to look at re-encoding... If you open the Video file in Windows Movie Maker (Which comes with Windows), then tell it you're wanting to export the file, it'll give you a selection of options for sending the file (Such as via Email) and it'll compress it down nice and small... quality wont be as good, but it wont take days on end to send ;) |
