| 353555 | 2005-05-23 01:34:00 | I was contacted last week by a senior management member of Dell, who got involved. It appears to be a huge cockup of the courier services. He promised me to take care of it and I left for Australia (so far to make clear to those guys who think that I am a non responder that I also have other things on my head than browsing). came back yesterday and see there: a replacement Inspiron was delivered at my home by a Dell employee on saturday and as a bonus I got a memory upgrade. The original order is still at large, as I was informed today. Now Dell responded only after two weeks of problems, what they find a reason to do a root cause analysis in their system, quite right so. i also think the service of the malaysian call centre is absolutely below acceptable. Once people higher up in Dell were aware, matters went fast. Thanks to everyone here for supporting me with this matter and we really have to be very careful with courier services, especially PBT, Constant couriers etc. Cheers Johan |

| 353558 | 2005-05-23 06:51:00 | HotKiwi - Yipeee! This is great news! It is reassuring to know that Dell is committed to improving things, and their status here on PF1 ;) . I learned a long time ago from my brother in law that if you have an ongoing problem, do two things: contact the people above the person/people that has not attended to your problem and secondly, send a copy/copies to others (news media or other organisations). Whatever happened in your case HotKiwi, we will not know for sure but certainly you were a happy chappy returning from Oz! Godfather - thanks for the best laugh of the day! |
