| 652848 | 2008-03-26 22:03:00 | I don't think I'm harming the planet by using sleep mode as it draws between 2 to 3 Watts of hydro generated power! The convenience of picking up where I left off which "Sleep" provides is very useful, I just wish it wouldn't get all slow on me after a few days. "Known as Standby or Hibernate in previous versions, Sleep is a state where a machine and monitor can become available instantly if needed, but are each using only two to three watts of electricity in the meantime."www.microsoft.com This article shows how to go about setting up sleep mode: articles.techrepublic.com.com |
