| 652303 | 2008-03-24 14:17:00 | Fonts need to be loaded on boot and most programs on launch need to poll the font folder for font lists, etc. Fonts have a considerable influence on boot and application startup times, especially if you have hundreds upon hundreds of fonts if not thousands. Don't those strange fonts just re-load when you enter a site that has new ones? Most of the fonts that I see in my systems are not things I have sought and installed myself...so from where did they come? |

Most of the fonts that I see in my systems are not things I have sought and installed myself...so from where did they come? some software apps add a few fonts too, didn't know sites were allowed to just go in and install stuff like fonts without asking :S is it most sites that do this or are they dodgy ones? |
