652256 2008-03-24 03:03:00 But does the computer boot up and load properly? Or does it hang waiting for the mysterious cable? beeswax34 (63)

652258 2008-03-24 03:05:00 Two things -

1.When you say "I have just put a computer together " do you mean you unpacked it from new and plugged every thing in - all components originals from dell.

2.The motherboard is a Dell from a GX60 ?

Was this PC you are having troubles with a fully assembled Dell, or have you got parts from a Dell and put them into another case ?

The reason for asking is the GX60 is an old model.

652259 2008-03-24 03:46:00 My guess, I think he's built a computer using the mobo out of an old dell, which is probably expecting some stupid dell-specific part. Agent_24 (57)
