ASUS motherboard, graphics
Ram - doesn't matter, whichever you like.

652189 2008-03-24 04:21:00 Like your new pc's specs :D but 64 bit OS is getting more popular and will get even more so in the future so you should take avantage of that by getting 4 Gigs of fastish ram (not crap slow ones like mine, might need to upgrade my ram) 8800 GT is one of the best cards out there, but the Geforce 9 series has been released, so maybe one of those instead? Are Asus motherboards better than Gigabyte?

ASUS or Gigabyte.

652192 2008-03-26 10:02:00 Ok. One more thing...is that PC worth roughly $3300? because that's how much it'll cost me EviLClouD (12981)
652193 2008-03-26 10:05:00 Check price at ascent.co.nz Nomad (952)
652194 2008-03-27 03:35:00 Yea thats where I got my prices from. But they seem to be more expensive than other places though... EviLClouD (12981)
652195 2008-03-27 03:39:00 Ascent would be pretty good .. there are other stores that may be cheaper but less on reputation. Ascent is cheaper than most stores out there with showrooms..... Nomad (952)
652196 2008-03-27 03:56:00 I'd go for the dominator RAM from Corsair, The Q9xxx are great 45nm cpu for thermals, however have low multipliers....8x333=2664, which is the Q9450. DDR2800 will give you access to 400 FSB, however thats only 3200mhz, when these chips should really go all the way to 4Ghz on air. You need a board and RAM capable of 500 FSB, so the Corsair 1066 Dominator would be the better choice and ascent has is cheaper??, for some reason?

The rest of the build looks good!
