352376 2005-05-05 09:59:00 I know I'm dense so there's no need to tell me.

I take a screen shop. Open it in paint and reduce it's size to under 400 and then save it as JPG or as GIFF. I upload the file to image F1 and its there in it's small size. It can not be enlarged.
Yet I see people have uploaded much smaller files and they fill the screen when opened.

I know I am doing something wrong, but what. And I have read the instructions.

352377 2005-05-05 10:17:00 Different compression in fancier graphics programs? Edward (31)
352378 2005-05-05 10:21:00 What file size do you get if you take the screenshot, open Paint and go Edit > Paste as New Image (or words thereabout) and then just save it as a .jpg. Don't try to reduce its size beforehand. It should be under 400KB by using that method. The other way of reducing the file size is to resize it from 1028x768 to 800x600 for example. Have a play and see what works best. :) Jen (38)

Please Explain.

352380 2005-05-05 10:26:00 Generally graphics programs when saving will have options for compressions. I use both Macromedia Fireworks and Adobe Photoshop, and they both have a scale which to save .jpg files, and can choose smaller file or higher quality, with various degrees between these Edward (31)

It works now. I was reducing picture size before saving.
See test on ImageF1. ChCh.jpg

352384 2005-05-05 22:38:00 Well done JJJJ. Your Auckland Summer and ChCh are so much better than Lear2. Did you colour the ground in Auckland Summer? The line between the green and other colour seems artificially straight. Scouse (83)
